Killer Ambush 30 Years in the Making

Have been out for a while. It seems work intervened. I wonder if anything happened in the meantime. Let's see, I see that fat cleric in Najaf is still in need of some serious dental work. And ... Sen. Kerry says he would have invaded Iraq, even knowing all he knows now. I thought Pres. Bush said that. The terrorists are still hiding in mosques. Our basketball team can't shoot. What else?

Oh, yeah. The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Now, I must tell you, I generally start squids with two strikes in the count, but these guys are alright. Check 'em out at www.swiftvets.com. They have real mettle, unlike Kerry (whom the SBVT says never got any metal in him bigger than a rose thorn). Make no mistake about it. The SBVT have planned and are executing a devastating ambush on an unsuspecting and arrogant victim. This ambush has been 30 years in the making, and apparently is the product of the group's deep-seated and justifiable anger at Kerry for working the system to get his butt out of Viet Nam as fast as possible so that he could return to the States and trash his former comrades. Now it is payback.

I said it before (I think here), but ... three purple hearts in four months and your not serving with the Marines ... impossible. Okay, no more Navy comments.

The president today understandably distanced himself (again) from the SBVT devastating ads. However, SBVT's John O'Neill, the co-author of Unfit for Command and Kerry antagonist since 1971 was undeterred while appearing on Rush's radio show. He simply said, "The president is entitled to his opinion." In the same appearance, O'Neill continued to blast away at Kerry: "He is no war hero." www.rushlimbaugh.com

Indeed, Kerry is apparently not a hero. That fact, however, certainly would not and should not disqualify him from being commander-in-chief. However, lying about his record, faking injuries and getting purple hearts for thorn wounds ... this stuff does cause problems. And ... getting an early out so you can come home and attack your "friends" who are still in harm's way, citing Communist propaganda and emboldening the enemy in the process, yes, that disqualifies one from being president. But hey, I'm just a rich Republican operative ... and from Texas.

At the end of the day, this appears to be the punch line for Kerry: He used his military service and attendant credibility to gain political popularity and notoriety upon returning from the Viet Nam War, calling American servicemen "war criminals" to stoke the anti-war fires. Now, however, he seeks to claim that his service in that "illegal" war was noble and again wants to use his service and attendant credbility for political gain, i.e., elect me because I served in Viet Nam. I have been shot at (debatable, we now learn) and am a war hero, unlike that Chicken Hawk Bush.

The SBVT will hear none of it. They have been betrayed and used before. They are not going to sit quietly by and watch it happen this time. Well, they may wait quietly while Kerry and the dunderheads running his campaign walk up on the next killer ad.

Note to Self: Phone Cards to Walter Reed

If you're looking for something tangible to do for our troops during the holidays, consider the following, courtesy of Vets4Bush:
The number ONE request at Walter Reed Hospital is phone cards. The government doesn't pay long distance phone charges and these wounded soldiers are rationing their calls home.

Many will be there throughout the holidays. Really support our troops. Send phone cards of any amount to:

Medical Family Assistance Center
Walter Reed Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001

They say they need an "endless" supply of these -- any amount even $5 is greatly appreciated.

Walmart has good prices on AT&T cards, Sams Club is even better, if you are a member.

Please pass this portion on, copy and paste it into your e-mail, and send to everyone you know.
The phone cards are great gifts because they not only allow the troops to call their loved ones during the holidays, but they also provide a tangible reminder of the love and affection this nation has for its defenders. Consider this need and act accordingly. If you want to feel good and really do something good during the holidays, here's an opportunity.

On tap ...

Coming tomorrow ... the Weblog Awards finally and mercifully wind down (this thing is worse than Florida 2000).

Also, any comments/questions on the new links? Still will be some new stuff up after the first ... and a decision on the blog name, so stay tuned. But let me know if you have any questions or comments in the meantime.

10 (okay 11) Reasons War on Jihad Can't be Entrusted to Kerrys

Okay, those of you who may now be finally focusing on the upcoming selection of the commander-in-chief (and remember, it's going to be one of three candidates -- George W. Bush, Viet Nam veteran John Kerry, or Ralph Nader. What follows are the 10 reasons to cast your vote for either Bush or Nader ... and it's all true:

1) Kerry's wife is delusional, as was verified on national TV last week in her speech -- charitably dubbed "interesting" by FNC's Brit Hume -- at the DNC. We can not have a man with such a wife/distraction leading the War on Jihad;

2) Kerry holds a Philly cheesesteak sandwich like it is a dirty bomb;

3) Kerry had to be briefed by advisers as to the identity of the Red Sox manager and star players before throwing out the first pitch before a Red Sox -- his hometown Red Sox -- game last week;

4) Kerry threw out the aforementioned first pitch like a girl (and no I don't mean he slapped his leg and burned it in there underhand at 95 mph);

5) Kerry's wife went/was dragged into a Wendy's last week and pointed to the menu (pictures) and asked, "What's that?" ... "Chili", responded the Wendy's employee. "I'll have that, then," responded the very folksy and down-to-earth Ms. Heinz-Kerry;

6) A dog-faced (and I do mean dog-faced), old (and I do mean old) Army friend of mine today sent me pictures of Kerry in his navy khakis juxtaposed with a khaki-clad Gomer Pyle. Spitting image. Separated at birth;

7) Kerry is part-French;

8) A couple of days after John Edwards was tapped as Kerry's VP choice, Heinz-Kerry got loose at a rally and started singing " ... We're just getting to know you ..." The cane-hook was a little late to prevent the damage;

9) Try this one on for size. Kerry gets loaded up with "football humor" by staffers (he has no idea what any of this stuff means or even what that "nasty old boy game" is about) and he then jets off to Ohio and Michigan to campaign. He tells a dud of an Ohio football joke in Ohio, but then he crosses the border into Michigan, where he gushes to the horrified throng: "There's nothing better than Buckeye football." Don't believe it? See www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=6920.
As a result of said gaffe, Kerry got roundly booed at this ticketed-entry, partisans-only event.

10) Kerry likes soccer, which explains 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9.

Now, if the foregoing doesn't convince you, I mean ... well, you're a hopeless partisan.

Finally, one must ask, after reading the foregoing, just how did Sen. Kerry behave with such valor in Viet Nam? And ... by the way, did you know that Sen. Kerry served in Viet Nam? Well, Kerry's spurt of Viet Nam valor remains one of this campaign's great mysteries. A group of veterans hopes to shed some light on this mystery in the coming days. www.drudgereport.com/ufd.htm. Hmmm. See 7/31 post.

Out,

Daisy
